Some of our highest values at IVM are creation, innovation and unique solutions – so this summer, we’re working to inspire a new high school curriculum and strengthen the connection between our industry and schools. We’ll be hosting a local teacher in our office for one week to observe, learn and dive deep into how our industry can help prepare students for their futures.
We’re excited to host Steve Emerson, a computer science teacher within Hamilton Southeastern School District at Fishers High School, as he explores the disconnect between school curriculum and industry needs. We’ll give him a behind-the-scenes look at our work in cybersecurity and IoT to help him create a stronger curriculum for his students this fall. Mr. Emerson is hard at work developing a new cybersecurity class and IVM hopes to provide unique industry insight for local students who are interested in technology.
This program previews our upcoming fall internship program with the Hamilton Southeastern School District. IVM is excited to engage local students, help prepare them for work in our field, and most importantly, inspire their creativity. This program is a great opportunity to share our work with the community and we are thrilled to make an impact on these students.
This summer, keep an eye out for a sneak peek of Mr. Emerson’s internship with us, as well as more details about our fall high school intern program. We can’t wait to get to know Mr. Emerson and work together to teach the next generation of technology leaders.
