The employees behind the scenes are the foundation of IVM’s success. This month we spotlight a team member who travels the globe to earn the trust of our clients. Meet Wudneh Akalu!
Wudneh joined IVM in October 2013 as the company’s network and desktop support administrator. As a former business systems consultant, he brought valuable problem-solving skills and helped cultivate a culture of teamwork. Wudneh builds and installs IVM smart vending machines for new customers, including some of the biggest names in manufacturing, healthcare and technology. He works tirelessly with his team to make sure companies like Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, Intel, Union Pacific, AIG, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, among others, have instant access to the tools they need to effortlessly produce their best work. For example, he recently embarked on a journey to Sydney and Brisbane Australia to set up a smart vending machine for Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
“Working at IVM has been an incredible professional and personal experience,” Wudneh said. “Being a part of an innovative team has allowed me to learn how to reinvent modest vending machines and adapt them with new software to suit today’s companies. Every day we get to help leading organizations discover new ways to keep employees engaged and supply costs down. I’ve especially enjoyed the opportunity to be mobile, take on additional responsibilities, travel the world and meet new people.”
Prior to joining IVM, Wudneh served as a desktop support/business system consultant at TEKsystems for four years. He also previously worked as a support center technician/desktop support admin at IHETS. Wudneh received his bachelor’s degree in computer information technology administration and management from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.
