Vend and Return

Vend and return is an essential feature of the IVM SmartVault and SmartSync systems that offers tremendous convenience to clients. When a client utilizes Vend and Return, users can return the items they had initially vended to a SmartLocker, SmartVault, or SmartCenter without making a separate assignment. This is beneficial in several ways. For example, it helps to save time, lowers the workforce’s cost, eliminates the need for an additional assignments, and eliminates confusion or errors associated with misplaced items.

Instead, the user places the product back in the same SmartLocker, SmartCenter, or SmartVault where they initially vended it, and it is automatically made available for the next user who may need it. This feature is particularly useful in distribution centers, schools, and various communal workplace settings where large storage areas contain common resources available for many people to use. With Vend and Return, clients can streamline their operations and reduce the likelihood of mistakes or errors, which can disrupt the smooth flow of their operations. Therefore, Vend and Return is a valuable feature for clients who value efficiency and seamless operations while providing their users with an effortless user experience.

Webhooks

IVM’s SmartHub platform provides a powerful webhook feature that allows clients to set up their endpoint to receive notifications every time vends occur in real-time. By enabling this feature, clients can keep themselves informed of the activities happening within their locker systems without the need to log into their SmartHub dashboard continually. This added layer of notification ensures that clients can respond promptly to any issues that may arise.

Clients can set up this service for vends, returns, and failed vends, and it allows them to capture data in real-time and in a system of their choice. Every individual event contains pertinent information, including the time of the vend, the product vended, the machine, the machine user, etc.

This feature is particularly useful for clients who have integrated SmartHub into a more extensive and complex ecosystem, such as an ERP or an inventory management system. With webhook notifications, the client can have real-time status updates on user activity within the system, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding inventory restocking, and machine-user optimization available to the client.

In summary, the webhook feature is an great addition to IVM’s SmartHub platform. It offers clients the flexibility to set up their endpoint to receive real-time information on different activities within the SmartSystems. It also gives clients a more granular level of visibility into their SmartSystem’s operations, which ultimately results in increased efficiency and improved performance. Therefore, clients who value real-time data and performance feedback shoould find this feature crucial to the smooth running of their operations.

D.I.Y. Receipts

IVM’s Vend Receipt Refactor project is a significant update to the SmartHub platform, providing clients with an entirely new way to customize their vending receipts. This feature is located within SmartHub and offers clients complete control over their vend receipts. The new system is easy to use, making it accessible to advanced and less advanced users alike.

Advanced users can create fully customized HTML receipts from scratch, while less advanced users can modify pre-existing templates to their liking. If users are not comfortable creating their receipts, they can still request IVM to create them on their behalf.

In summary, the new D.I.Y. receipt feature is an exciting addition to IVM’s SmartHub platform. Clients can now customize their receipts easily, and IVM’s use of updated technology ensures reliable transactional email delivery. Clients can look forward to increased efficiency and a more user-friendly experience within the SmartHub platform.

Importer 3.0

IVM’s Importer 3.0 overhaul is a significant step forward in enhancing the functionality of our platform. This feature is a complete rewrite of our legacy Importer and Preprocessor. The overhaul involves utilizing cutting edge architecture allowing the service to scale on-demand and reducing the time needed for high volume data imports into our platform as IVM continues to grow.

During IVM’s internal testing we have seen import times drop down by up to 90%. Our previous 15-minute time window has shrunk to mere minutes for many of our clients.

A welcomed additions is enhanced error reporting available in SmartHub. Previously, this feature was only available if a file was uploaded via SmartHub. With the overhaul project, we have expanded this feature to SFTP and API uploads as well. Enhanced error reporting will show precisely where the problem lies within the file being imported, in cases where the file fails to import. This enables easy identification of the issue to be corrected.

Compliance

Having achieved SOC II compliance for our headquarters, we have taken a further step in our commitmit to keeping IVM’s data secure. This strict compliance with industry standards is attained through a rigorous third-party assessment of our business processes and cloud-based systems.
We know that data security is a top priority in the modern era, and we understand that our clients want assurance that their data is being always handled securely. Attaining SOC II compliance for our headquarters is a statement that we are not only dedicated to ensuring we meet the highest-security standards but are also committed to safeguarding all data.
Whilst SOC II focuses primarily on security compliance related to cloud-based systems, ISO 27001 certification is a more comprehensive security framework. It encompasses all aspects of an organization’s information security management system. This certification reassures our clients that IVM has implemented a full range of security measures beyond just the cloud systems, such as operational security, access control security, and personnel security, amongst others.
IVM’s ISO 27001 certification is significant because it shows that we have the necessary security measures in place to protect IVM’s sensitive information. It demonstrates that IVM has developed and is maintaining an information security management system that meets the international standard.

We have recently added a compliance center to the SmartHub platform, providing clients with easy access to view and download current certificates. This feature is designed to assist clients in meeting their compliance requirements.
